Entertainment Weekly have revealed their latest cover starring Brie Larson as Captain Marvel.
Larson will portray Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel (who made her comic debut in 1968) in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe instalment. Danvers made her first mysterious appearance only as the person Nick Fury paged in the post-credits scene of Avengers: Infinity War and now Entertainment Weekly has the exclusive first look images of her upcoming solo film.
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel is set in the 1990s and follows Danvers as she is caught between an intergalactic conflict between two alien worlds and goes on to become one of Earth’s mightiest heroes.
Captain Marvel marks the 21st entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the first to star a solo female superhero. The film also stars Jude Law, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Gemma Chan, Clark Gregg and Samuel L. Jackson as a pre eye-patched Nick Fury.
Captain Marvel hits cinemas on 8 March 2019.
